More Than A Home is an assisted living organization and is actively seeking caring and qualified caregivers to support our residents. The Caregiver position requires an individual that enjoys helping others, with a strong work ethic, and the ability to multitask. The Caregiver will be responsible for providing direct care and supervision of our residents in their homes. A responsible, organized, and detail-oriented candidate with the ability to anticipate resident needs will be an ideal candidate for this essential role.
- Have a sympathetic attitude toward caring for residents with various disabilities
- Be mature and be able to deal effectively with the job demands, recognize emergencies, and possesses knowledge of emergency procedures
- Demonstrate good judgment in decision-making and problem-solving
- Be able to read, write, and carry out directions
- Be physically able to sit, stand, walk and be able to bend, lift, and carry medical supplies and equipment from one location to another
- Have access to reliable means of transportation and be able to meet productivity schedules and participate in staff meetings
- Cooking, cleaning, and personal cares
- Medication administration
- Accompanying residents to medical appointments
- Planning and supervising outings in the surrounding communities
- Attend monthly training/staff meetings
- Candidates must complete a criminal background check as well as a pre-employment physical and drug screen before beginning the position.
